I have been working today on some preparations for this year's eCheminfo Oxford workshops and I found the folder with photos from last year. So here are a few shared here.
Many of us stayed in Keble College which was a nice location and atmosphere close by the science area of the university.
We took a photo of the group during a walk through the university parks on our way to lunch.
We used the computer classroom at the Medical Sciences Teaching Center for the workshop activity.
Once we had discussed targets and strategies, we moved first into pharmacophore-based design approaches with Thierry Langer.
Several groups were formed to work on case studies but formulating their own ideas, questions and approaches to problems and their possible solution.
and another group
and another deep in discussion
and another examining results
The Punting trip together was a good one and we took several boats down the river.
although some time to learn the technique at the start was required.
Alex experimented
but also became the first eCheminfo workshop participant to make it fully into the water ... and Ravi joined him later as the second! But we made it to our destination and also home again safely.
It was a great group and working week together. I look forward to catching up with you!
